History

Kokuho Company Limited started operations as a specialist manufacturer of marine and land-purpose products. Since inception Kokuho has expanded it's marine-purpose product range into attachments and fittings for a variety of vessel types including cargo ships, oil tankers, cruise ships, destroyers, and sailing ships like the "Nihon Maru" and "Kaiou Maru". It's land-purpose manufacturing operations have diversified into high-quality / high-precision industrial vacuum units, construction equipment design and manufacture, and the development of innovative plant to improve the welding workshop environment.

For over 57 years Kokuho Co., Ltd. has striven to meet the requirements of the modern welding workshop. To this end the company takes pride in it's wide range of experience and technical expertise backed by years of data gathering and analysis.

Kokuho's marine-purpose manufacturing operations began in Uraga. In 1853 Uraga was the point of arrival for Commodore Perry's "Black Ships", offering Japan it's first glimpse of iron ships and heralding a new era of ship-building technology. Kokuho has played an integral and supportive role in the development of Japan's ship-building industry.
